About

Built for the hour you are actually in the gym.

Most training apps are built for the twenty-three hours you are not training: the browsing, the sharing, the streak you have to protect. QuietGains is excellent for the sixty minutes that matter and quiet the rest of the time.

01 — How it started

It began as a notes file.

  1. The problem

    Everything took too long

Logging a set meant three taps and a scroll. Multiply that by twenty sets and the app is costing you minutes of rest time you did not choose to spend.

  2. The test

Would a notes file beat it?

For a year, it did. Any screen we designed had to be faster than typing "bench 82.5 x 5" with a thumb. That became the bar for the whole product.

  3. The result

    Two taps and a timer

Weight, reps, done, and the rest clock starts itself. Everything else in the app exists to keep that one interaction fast.

02 — What we hold it to

Four rules, and we apply them.

  1. 01

    The session comes first

If a feature makes the in-gym experience slower or busier, it does not ship, however good it looks on a marketing page.

  2. 02

    Show the arithmetic

Calorie targets, estimated 1RM, suggested loads: you can see where every number came from and override any of them.

  3. 03

    Silence is a feature

The app speaks on a stall, a record, or a slipped week. It does not congratulate you for doing what you already said you would do.

  4. 04

    Your log is yours

Full export whenever you want it. Cancelling Premium never deletes a session, and there is no dark pattern between you and the unsubscribe button.

03 — How we decide

The backlog is public.

We do not run a private roadmap and then announce things. Requests come from inside the app, everyone votes on the same board, and we build from the top down. If your request ships, you get a notification. That is the whole loop.
